Manchester Academy of Fine Art Awards

The Manchester Academy of Fine Arts originally founded in 1859, awards a series of prizes at the School of Art annual degree show.  These are selected by a panel of judges who survey the whole degree show, across all programmes to decide the recipients of the  across a range of criteria.

Illustration with Animation students were recognised with an outstanding three awards this year for £150 each. As well as the cash prize there is an additional commitment to exhibit over the next three years in the MAFA Open Exhibition at The Portico Gallery in central Manchester.
