Macmillan Prize: double success.

In June 2016 two final year students were Highly Commended for their entries to the annual Macmillan Prize for Illustration. This is a long established and highly regarded competition primarily aimed at the picture book sector of publishing. It has a clear record of launching careers and establishing new artists on the first steps of a career in children’s publishing.

Congratulations to

Katie Williams for ‘Why the sea is Salt?’ and

Roisin Swales for ‘Why is Grandad Grumpy?’

The selected work is exhibited in London with a private view on 14th June at Foyles in the centre of London and will remain on display until later this summer.
